about

This is a song written for the times that we're currently in, to keep up the fight because it's a cause worth fighting for. I hope it reaches you well and reminds you not to give up, even when the fight feels futile.

All proceeds of sales go to "Power The Fight"; a charity tackling youth violence and institutionalised racism in the UK.

Much love,

M.x

lyrics

Darling,
I've been circling round the block
I need to stop
And ask for directions
Intuition is acting up
It's not enough
Where is this all going?

(I thought you)
Cause I thought that
I knew this
I thought I knew it so perfect
Trying to get you
To see it's bigger than just me and you
Longing and wanting
To get to where we both should've started
But the distance
Between us
Is a lesson that love

[CHORUS]

Never gives up
It is patient and it is kind
It won't give up
Ego aside
Get you to swallow your pride
It is hopeful
It endures
It speaks the truth
It doesn't hold the wrongs
It's not conceited
Holds up the least
Not just about me
Oh love never gives up

History tells me I've got it wrong
Been here before
I need to stop trying
(Oh been here for far too long)
But this road
Tells me there's something more
Can not let go
There's no turning back now
(We've come this far, we've got so far to go)

Cause I thought that
I knew this
I thought I knew it so perfect
Trying to get you
To see it's bigger than just me and you
Longing and wanting
To get to where we both should've started
Yet the distance
Between us
Is a lesson that love

[CHORUS]

Lano's Monologue:

To me
Love begins with God
It's an unreserved giving of oneself
To be a blessing, to another
For their own benefit
So when we talk of love between races
Of course the reality is
We're one race
The human race
And we have different
Ethnic groups
So when we talk of love
Between ethnic groups
What we're saying is
Regardless of our differences
I accept you
So a black man
Coming from his own culture
His own background
In relationship to a
White man for instance
Love between them means
Brotherly love between them means
That I accept you unconditionally
Even though you're different
Even though I may not agree
With some things you may think
Or some things you may do
Because you're a human
I accept you as a brother
That's where
Healing comes
It begins with love
